Conclusion
1. What is it about engineering that is common to all disciplines of engineering? That is, what makes an engineer an engineer regardless of the work one does
What makes an engineer an engineer is the involvement of math and sciences in all of their disciplines.
2. Why do you think engineering has been called the stealth profession? (Hint: there are many Internet resources that address this question.)
It is called a stealth profession because many people do not see engineers at work but rather the outcome of their work.
3. How is an engineer different from a scientist?
Engineers apply their research as opposed to scientists who only research topics.
4. What interpersonal characteristics do you think are important to the success of an engineer of any discipline?
I think discipline and intelligence is very important when being an engineer.

Instant Challenge 1.1: Cable Car
There are many ways to solve a problem. Sometimes it is as simple as applying a piece of duct tape. Other times it takes months or years for a product to progress from an idea into full-scale production. Often engineers and designers use a specific set of steps (sometimes called a design process) to find the best solution to a problem. In this activity your team will quickly design the solution to a problem using a design process that progresses from brainstorming to presenting a final design.
I was allowed 30 minutes to create a cable car that could traverse a gap without being touched.
Conclusion
1. Why do you think brainstorming is helpful when solving a problem?
I think brainstorming is important when you want to come up with quick and smart solutions and innovations to a product or problem.
2. How did testing improve your design?
I think testing allowed us to rethink certain aspects of our product like our propulsion and stabilization system.
3. With respect to designing the solution of a problem, what are some important characteristics of a successful team?
You need to be able to understand each other but work independently so that it better contributes to the rest of the team.

Conclusion
1. Define and differentiate invention and innovation.
An in invention is a newly created product but an innovation is an improvement of an invention.
2. What were the major factors that contributed to past innovations of the invention that you researched?
Major factors were other inventions that worked in conjunction with my product.
3. How has the pace of development changed through the history of the design?
It started out taking hundreds of years but now it continues to be innovated on a daily basis.
4. What future innovations to the chosen invention do you predict?
I predict an increase in efficiency and storage so that we can fully run off of solar energy.
